A NOTE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a mature and responsible New Zealand citizen with a full Drivers Licence with an I endorsement and an excellent safety record.
My background since settling in New Zealand nine years ago includes working as a community support person and in customer service with Countdown Supermarket. I have developed effective English communication skills and have a proven ability to develop rapport with people from all backgrounds and ages. In addition I have been involved in volunteer work and I'm often called on to be a translator as I speak four languages fluently. I believe that this skill is very useful when working as a driving instructor with people who struggle with English. I have also patiently coached a number of people to sit their drivers licenses and have this experience a lot.
MY WORK HISTORY
Before coming to New Zealand I worked as a teacher and social worker. As part of my responsibilities I liaised with other organizations and the administrative team and ensured accurate records were maintained. In this role I communicated with people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ages; an aspect I thoroughly enjoyed.
In terms of my personal work style I am a highly self motivated person with excellent planning and organizational skills, enjoy multi tasking and the challenge of teaching and coaching others. I am also patient, pay excellent attention to detail and can communicate in a warm friendly manner.
